I am a graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill with a degree in Broadcast Journalism, as well as Dramatic Art. I grew up in Mt. Airy, N.C., known to many as “Mayberry,” where I graduated in 2016 as Salutatorian of North Surry High School. In the summer of 2018, I served as a news intern at my home station, WXII-12 in Winston-Salem where I fully realized my aspirations to become a local television reporter and positively impact my community. I joined the Carolina Now team, a social media broadcast at UNC, in fall 2018 and served in a variety of roles, which included producing, anchoring and reporting. In spring 2019, I studied journalism abroad in the United Kingdom at City University London. Following that, I moved a little closer to home again to serve as a general news intern with Spectrum News in Raleigh, N.C. In fall 2019, I became an Executive Producer for Carolina Now, as well as a Stembler Scholar reporter for UNC Media Hub. This past spring, I furthered my broadcast experience by turning content and reporting live for UNC’s award-winning 30-minute broadcast, Carolina Week. In addition, I served as a reporting intern with CBS17 in Raleigh N.C. When I’m not in a newsroom, I love dancing and working on service projects with my fraternity, Alpha Phi Omega.
